The last 3 days the Project team worked very hard to excavate the remains of Lancaster NN775 and we got everything out..Now we are cleaning the parts.
This was a very good cooperation between two recovery teams and the archaeologists. We have learned a lot from each other. We did find human remains but we have to wait for the examination of the remains to come to a conclusion. The recovery team from the RAF did a very good job in 1945.
We are searching for a museum to put the complete wreck on display for a long time so that everybody could see it and pay tribute to the crew.
This is a unique project with an almost complete wreck of a Lancaster Mk.1
Please contact me if you have a museum and the space to put the NN775 on display
(total display is about 20 meters on 30 meters )
