When lost this aircraft had a total of 268 hours JB733 was one of two 103 Sqdn Lancasters lost on this operation. See: ND700 Airborne 2158 11May43 from Elsham wolds to bomb the rail yards. Shot down by a night-fighter (Oblt Werner Baake of 1./Njg1) and crashed 0200 12may43 at Hallaar, some 24 km NE from the centre of Antwerpen. All were buried 15May44 at Antwerpen-Deure. They have been subsequently re-interred in Schoonselhof Cemetery. This crew, with the exception of Sgt Ramage, had been involved in a landing accident 27Mar44. See ND402.
